The issue of terrorism in our country is deeply rooted for a long time. A lot of struggles are made till now to compensate the issue of terrorism but unfortunately, our beloved developing country is still not able to treat this last stage cancer which has affected our country badly and kept it backward in comparison to the rest of the world in the regard of economic, prosperity and development.

Our law in forces agencies are fighting since long to overcome this problem. Islam inhibits the killing of innocent people, without any justification.

The use of innocent and affected individuals of society for bad deeds like spreading fear among the people is called Terrorism.”

 History of Terrorism:

Since September 11, 2001, a lot of Pakistani civilians have lost their lives while fighting against terrorism. The Pakistan Army has lost a lot of soldiers in the war and 8,671. There have been a number of bomb blasts in the country, including some major suicide attacks and few others. During the war against terrorism, the economy of Pakistan has got damaged badly. Many Pakistani soldiers were called for fighting against militants on the Afghan border.

The current circumstances have boosted up the already weakened economic situation of Pakistan and has affected almost each and every economic aspects of the country. All the main resources of prosperity, health and community has lost their roots and getting weaker and weaker day by day.

Causes of Terrorism:

Though the causes of Terrorism are countless, here we are trying our best to discuss some of the basic and the most drastic and badly affecting causes of terrorism.

  1. Injustice:

Injustice is one of the foremost factors that is breeding terrorism. When the unfairness of the people is not corrected, they are self-motivated to get involved in violent actions. So this is the case with Pakistan where timely justice has always been so far. Hence, delayed justice is working as appreciative of victims and taking them to the hands of terrorist organizations.

  1. Illiteracy:

Illiteracy is the second main leading cause of terrorism. More than one in five men aged 10 to 20 unable to read or write and only one in 15 is in tertiary education. Such a high illiteracy rate has made Pakistan susceptible to terrorism.

  1. Poverty:

It is said that “a hungry man is an angry man.” Poverty is also an incubating cause of terrorism. The majority of people in Pakistan are living below the poverty line in Pakistan. In these adverse situations, some people go to the level of extremism and even commit suicide. Such people have been easily exploited by militant organizations and become victims of terrorism.

  1. Food Insecurity:

Food insecurity is also linked with terrorism and violence. When people remain unable to afford food and cannot meet their basic needs then terrorism begins to take its root and starts to grows.

The next highest level is in Baluchistan, with food insecurity at 60 percent, and then in Khyber-Pukhtunkhwa, 55 percent. They are motivating their unemployed youth to commit terroristic crimes such as suicide attacks against innocent people.

  1. Dissatisfaction:

Another reason of terrorism is dissatisfaction. Furthermore, people who are not satisfied with the politicians and think that his basic rights of life are being violated, wrongly imprisoned and property confiscated then he joins some religious parties. None of the organizations have any value for him. Joining an organization would only save him from the critical conditions in which he is and leaves him to play in the hands of his so-called leaders who destroy his public sense of security.

Elimination of Terrorism:

Pakistan has made a lot of efforts to eliminate Terrorism and got rid of this problem. In the government of General Parvez Musharraf, a number of terrorist organizations were banned in different cities of the country.

After the successful military operations namely Zarb-e-Azab, Rah-e-Nijat and Rah-e-Rast have been launched by Pakistan. Pakistan army has fought bravely against terrorists and has destroyed their hidden and safe places. It has broken the backbone of the terrorists and has forced them to leave.
